How to Set Up Cloudflare with CybroHost

Cloudflare can be used to manage DNS, improve performance, and add additional security features for your domain.

Before You Start

You need:

  • A Cloudflare account
  • Access to your domain registrar
  • Your CybroHost server IP address
  • Access to your CybroHost hosting account

Step 1: Add Domain to Cloudflare

  1. Log in to Cloudflare.
  2. Click Add a Site.
  3. Enter your domain name.
  4. Select a Cloudflare plan.
  5. Continue to DNS scan.

Step 2: Check DNS Records

Make sure DNS records point to your CybroHost server.

Common records:

A Record
Name: @
Value: Your CybroHost server IP

CNAME Record
Name: www
Value: yourdomain.com

MX Record
Used for email service

Step 3: Update Nameservers

Cloudflare will provide nameservers.

Go to your domain registrar and replace current nameservers with the Cloudflare nameservers.

Step 4: Wait for Activation

Cloudflare activation may take a few minutes to 24 hours.

Step 5: Check SSL Mode

In Cloudflare, choose the correct SSL mode.

If SSL is installed on CybroHost, use:

Full

or:

Full Strict

Avoid using Flexible SSL if it causes redirect loops.

Common Problems

Problem: Website does not load after enabling Cloudflare.
Solution: Check A record points to the correct server IP.

Problem: Too many redirects.
Solution: Check Cloudflare SSL mode and HTTPS redirect settings.

Problem: Email stops working.
Solution: Check MX records and make sure mail-related records are correct.

Problem: cPanel or webmail does not work.
Solution: Use direct server hostname or disable proxy for service records.
